Professor Kevin Austin is a Montreal-based composer, educator and arts animator. He holds a B.Mus. and a MMA (Composition) from McGill University.

He is an active member of the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC), and has most recently worked on the SONUS project, an online listening library (jukebox) of electroacoustic works, created and managed by the CEC. SONUS was created to make electroacoustic pieces easily accessible to audiences everywhere. It is a valuable tool for composers to promote their work, and a fascinating resource for listeners, with over 1800 works in a wide variety of aesthetics already in the catalogue.

Professor Austion specializes in theory, ear-training and electroacoustic studies. He is also the co-director of the Concordia Electroacoustic Studies area at Concordia.
