KoSA Arts Centre announces the appointment of Jeri Brown as Events/Program Director & Artistic Consultant, beginning January 5, 2011.
Ms. Brown's arrival at the KoSA Arts Centre is in addition to her career as a music performer, recording artist, artistic director and educator as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Music at Concordia University, specializing in jazz, vocal studies, fine arts management and world music history.
Jeri Brown will invigorate the recently opened KoSA Arts Centre with her coordination of seasonal programming including music, theatre, dance, painting, drawing, general arts, fundraisers, school events, a youth music festival, art exhibits, general venue rentals and collaborations, all with the objective of increasing activity, visibility and future business for the centre.
Ms. Brown will also headline a special gala event that is currently being planned at the centre. Nick Patulli, Director of Operations, KoSA Arts Centre said of the appointment: "I am ecstatic to have Jeri Brown on board. Not only is she an internationally acclaimed artist and a professor of music at Concordia, but she is also a person who is committed to community development. I am looking forward to the exciting projects and events to come."
