About:
Hymn to the Universe, playing at Place des Arts' Cinquième Salle from December 1 to 11, 2010, is a unique celebration featuring the performance of orchestral pieces by Marshall Allen's legendary big band The Sun Ra Arkestra and a psychedelic dance performance by Bill Coleman and Laurence Lemieux's Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie.

Hymn to the Universe is a show-cum-happening that transports audiences to a place that dance (with ten dancers) has never been before, with extraordinary visual creations and live music (fifteen musicians) that are as intriguing as they are bewitching.

Hymn to the Universe features choreography by Bill Coleman, music by Sun Ra Arkestra and dancers Margie Gillis, Laurence Lemieux and Carol Prieur, recently named dancer of the year by Tanz Magazine.
