Patch and Signal Location -
Studio #1 & #3
On the M50 mixer is it labeled as "2 trk B", and can be monitored directly through the M50 mixer monitor select buttons by the same name. It is normalized into the mixer inputs 11, 12. It is also connected to the patch bay.
Studio #2
On the Mackie mixer, it appears at input 13 & 14.
This open reel tape deck is wired directly to a dbx noise reduction unit.

This deck has three regular 1/2 track heads;
erase,
record and
playback.
When editing (splicing), remember to use the PLAYBACK head to find the exact edit point on the tape.

Tape Threading

When threading the tape make sure the tape goes properly around all tension levers (a), lifters (b), capstan (c) and the pinch roller (d).

Before running the tape, check to see that both reels are firmly locked in place using the NAB adaptor or the reel spindle.
